# Add Threat to Risk

`POST /api/risk/v2/risks/{riskId}/threats`

Use this API to add or replace a threat on a risk.
> 🗒 Things to Know
> 
> - If a threat was previously assigned to the risk, that threat will be replaced with the new specified threat after calling this API.

## Path parameters

- `riskId` string, uuid, required

## Request body

- TechRiskComplianceRiskRiskThreatAddRequest
  - `threatId` string, uuid — Unique identifier of the threat to be added. If null, any existing threat will be removed from the risk.

## Response `201`

Threat added or replaced successfully

## Other responses

- `400` — Bad Request
- `401` — Unauthorized
- `403` — Forbidden

- `500` — Internal Server Error
