# Create User Group

`POST /api/access/v2/user-groups`

Use this API to create a new user group with a specified name and description.

## Request body

- PlatformAccessManagementPublicCreateGroupRequest
  - `name` string, required — The name of the user group.
  - `description` string — The description of the user group.

## Response `201`

User group created successfully

- PlatformAccessManagementPublicUserGroupResponse
  - `id` string, uuid — The internal identifier of the user group.
  - `name` string — The name of the user group.
  - `description` string — The description of the user group.
  - `createdBy` string, uuid — The unique identifier of the user who created the user group.
  - `createdDate` string, date-time — The timestamp of when the user group was created.
  - `lastModifiedBy` string, uuid — The unique identifier of the user who last modified the user group.
  - `lastModifiedDate` string, date-time — The timestamp of when the user group was last modified.

## Other responses

- `400` — Invalid request data
- `401` — Unauthorized - Invalid or missing authentication
- `403` — Forbidden - Insufficient permissions
