# Create skill version

`POST /v1alpha/skills/{skill_id}/versions`

Upload a new version of a skill.

## Path parameters

- `skill_id` string, required

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- SkillVersion — A specific version of a skill. Matches OpenAI SkillVersion wire format.
  - `id` string, required — Unique identifier for this version
  - `created_at` integer, required — Unix timestamp when this version was created
  - `description` string, required — Description of the skill version
  - `name` string, required — Name of the skill version
  - `object` 'skill.version'
  - `skill_id` string, required — ID of the parent skill
  - `version` string, required — Version number as a string

## Other responses

- `400` — The request was invalid or malformed
- `429` — The client has sent too many requests in a given amount of time
- `500` — The server encountered an unexpected error
- `default` — An error occurred
