# Validates a package intended for the built in package feed, but does not write the package.

`POST /spaces/{spaceIdentifier}/packages/raw/validate`

## Path parameters

- `spaceIdentifier` string, required

## Response `200`

The validation issue detected for a package, or null if the package passes all validation checks.

  - `Issue` 'CorruptedNugetPackage' | 'CouldNotValidate' | 'EmptyFile' | 'FileNameTooLong' | 'InvalidCharactersInFileName' | 'InvalidPackageId' | 'PackageAlreadyExists' | 'UnsupportedFileExtension'

## Other responses

- `400` — Bad request. Either the payload was not structurally valid or business rules did not permit the operation.
- `404` — Not found. One or more of the entities involved in the operation was not found.
