# Returns a list of consensus epochs.

`GET /consensus/epochs`

## Query parameters

- `limit` integer
- `offset` integer

## Response `200`

A JSON object containing a list of consensus epochs.

- EpochList — A list of consensus epochs.
  - `total_count` integer, required — The total number of records that match the query, i.e. the number of records the query would return with limit=infinity.
  - `is_total_count_clipped` boolean, required — Whether total_count is clipped for performance reasons.
  - `epochs` Epoch[], required
    - `id` integer, required — The epoch number.
    - `start_height` integer, required — The (inclusive) height at which this epoch started.
    - `end_height` integer — The (inclusive) height at which this epoch ended. Omitted if the epoch is still active.

## Other responses

- `400` — A human-readable error message.
- `404` — An empty response indicating that the requested resource was not found.
- `500` — A human-readable error message.
