# Settle a transfer

`POST /entities/{entityDID}/tx/{transferId}/settle`

Settles a transfer by providing settlement transaction details. This endpoint accepts optional settlement ID, settlement ID index, and revert settlement ID.

## Path parameters

- `entityDID` string, did, required — Decentralized Identifier (DID)
- `transferId` string, uuid, required

## Request body

- object
  - `settlementId` string
  - `settlementIdIndex` string
  - `revertSettlementId` string

## Response `202`

Transfer settlement accepted

## Other responses

- `400` — Bad Request - The server could not process the request due to a client error.
- `401` — Unauthorized - Authentication information is missing or invalid.
- `403` — Forbidden - The server understood the request but refuses to authorize it.
- `404` — Not Found - The requested resource could not be found.
- `409` — Conflict - The request could not be completed due to a conflict with the current state of the resource.
- `500` — Internal Server Error - An unexpected condition was encountered on the server.
