# Unpublish zone

`POST /v1/dns/zones/{zone_name}/unpublish`

Request reverting the publication of the zone.
When the zone becomes unpublished, it will not be resolvable on the primary nameservers.

## Path parameters

- `zone_name` string, required — The name of the zone.

## Response `202`

- `401` — unauthorized (code: 2465)
- `403` — Multiple error variants are possible: - changing this zone is forbidden (code: 4238) - changing this zone is prohibited; please contact support (code: 3903) - operation only available via the website (code: 4786)
- `404` — Multiple error variants are possible: - zone not found (code: 2510) - zone not shared (code: 2728)
- `409` — Multiple error variants are possible: - zone is already unpublished (code: 3810) - zone unpublication already requested (code: 4644)
