# Update a theme

`PUT /api/v1/themes/{themeId}`

Partially updates a theme. Only provided fields are changed; image fields, when provided, must be base64-encoded data URLs and replace the corresponding stored asset. <br>Required scope: `themes:write` </br>Organization authorization: `supported`

  - `name` string, nullable — Name of the theme
  - `default` boolean, nullable
  - `sidebar_theming_enabled` boolean, nullable — Whether sidebar theming is enabled
  - `app_primary_color` string, nullable — Primary colour for the app
  - `app_secondary_color` string, nullable — Secondary colour for the app
  - `portal_primary_color` string, nullable — Primary colour for the portal
  - `portal_secondary_color` string, nullable — Secondary colour for the portal
  - `app_image` string, nullable — Replacement app logo as a base64-encoded data URL
  - `portal_image` string, nullable — Replacement portal logo as a base64-encoded data URL
  - `portal_fav_icon` string, nullable — Replacement portal favicon as a base64-encoded data URL

  - `title` string, required — Title of the theme formatted with operator name
  - `primaryColor` string, required — Primary color in HEX format
  - `secondaryColor` string, required — Secondary color in HEX format
  - `logoUrl` string, required — Url of the logo image
  - `favIconUrl` string, required — Url of the favicon image
  - `operator` ThemeOperatorDto, required
    - `id` integer — Operator id
    - `identifier` string, required — Operator identifier
    - `themingEnabled` boolean — Indicates if theming is enabled for the operator

## Other responses

- `400` — The request is invalid
- `401` — Consumer with provided credentials was not found
- `403` — Operator doesn't have access to resource
- `404` — Entity with the provided id was not found
