# Delete Taxonomy

`DELETE /v1/taxonomies/{taxonomy_identifier}`

This endpoint deletes a taxonomy and all its resources including:
    - Taxonomy versions (version snapshots)
    - Taxonomy metadata from MongoDB

    The deletion is performed synchronously and returns when complete.

## Path parameters

- `taxonomy_identifier` string, required — Taxonomy ID or name
