# Causes the User (in the path) to retweet the specified Tweet.

`POST /2/users/{id}/retweets`

Causes the User (in the path) to retweet the specified Tweet. The User in the path must match the User context authorizing the request.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required — Unique identifier of this User. The value must be the same as the authenticated user.

## Request body

- UsersRetweetsCreateRequest
  - `tweet_id` string, required — Unique identifier of this Tweet. This is returned as a string in order to avoid complications with languages and tools that cannot handle large integers.

## Response `200`

The request has succeeded.
