# Create memory for MCP integration

`POST /api/v1/mcp/memories`

Create memory in the binding's canonical socket space.

- MemoryCreate — Model for creating a new memory.
  - `content` string, required — Memory content text
  - `tags` string[], nullable — Tags for categorizing the memory
  - `source` string, nullable — Source of the memory
  - `importance` integer, nullable — Importance score (1-10)
  - `category` string, nullable — Memory category within space
  - `metadata` object, nullable — Additional metadata
  - `space_id` string, nullable — Space ID to create memory in
