# Update Conversation Message

`PATCH /conversations/messages/{conversation_message_id}`

Used to update a message in a Conversation

## Path parameters

- `conversation_message_id` string, required

## Request body

- ConversationMessageUpdateRequest
  - `message_content` string — The content of the message

## Response `200`

Conversation message updated

- ConversationMessage — A conversation message
  - `id` string — Unique ID for this conversation message
  - `conversation_id` string — The ID of the conversation associated with this message
  - `branch_name` string — The name of the branch associated with this conversation
  - `branch_id` string — The ID of the branch associated with this conversation
  - `workspace_id` string — The ID of the workspace associated with this conversation
  - `entity_type` 'branch' | 'test' | 'flow' — The type of entity associated with this conversation
  - `entity_id` string — The ID of the entity associated with this conversation (branchId, testInvariantId, flowInvarianId)
  - `content` string — The content of the conversation message
  - `created_time` integer — Time at which the conversation was created
  - `created_by_id` string — The ID of the user who created this conversation
  - `last_updated_time` integer — Time at which the conversation was created
  - `last_updated_by_id` string — The ID of the user who updated this conversation

## Other responses

- `400` — Invalid or missing parameter
- `401` — User not authenticated
- `403` — User not authorized
- `default` — Unknown error
