# Get User

`GET /v1/users/{id}`

Retrieves information about the requested user. The requested user must be on the authenticated account.

## Path parameters

- `id` number, required

## Response `200`

OK. Returns with a User resource containing information about the user.

- User — A standard representation of a user.
  - `accountId` number — The unique ID for the user's account.
  - `enabled` boolean — Whether the user can authenticate to Lucid. Corresponds to the SCIM active attribute.
  - `email` string — The user's email.
  - `name` string — The user's full name.
  - `userId` number — The unique ID for the user.
  - `username` string — The user's username.
  - `roles` UserRole[] — A list of administrative roles assigned to the user.
  - `avatar` Avatar — A reference to a user's avatar image. When the user has no uploaded avatar, this falls back to their Gravatar image.
    - `type` 'url', required — The kind of avatar. Currently always `url`, indicating the avatar is referenced by a link. Additional avatar kinds may be introduced in the future.
    - `link` string, required — A URL pointing to the user's avatar image.

## Other responses

- `403` — Forbidden. Occurs if the user does not belong to the authenticated account or if the user does not exist.
