# Classify Resume

`POST /resume/classify`

Performs the requested classification operation on a resume, including company name, title, and resume description. A range of classifications may be performed on the resume based on the requested outputs. Provides support to use different taxonomy. Use the customParameters field with modeltype=llm to enable LLM-based processing (requires LLMParsingEnabled=true in the classify meta response for your locale). Default behavior uses LC Tag/ Standard Classification.

## Request body

- ParseBinaryDataRequest
  - `binaryData` string, required — Base64 encoded string of the document
  - `outputs` string[] — Extract specific fields from the parsed response. Valid values: person, education, employment, qualifications, executiveSummary, rtfdoc, htmdoc, tagWithRTF, tagWithHTM
  - `customParameters` string — Advanced parsing configuration. Use 'modeltype=llm' to enable LLM-based parsing for supported locales (check LLMParsingEnabled flag in /resume/parse/meta endpoint). Default: 'modeltype=lctag' (LC Tag classification)
