# Update an area for a given area id.

`PUT /areas/{id}`

Updates a area referenced by *id*. Only the attributes submitted are modified.

- `id` string, required

  - `name` string — The new name of the area to update.

## Response `200`

OK

  - `name` string — The new name of the area to update.
  - `_id` string — The Kenjo _id of the area.

## Other responses

- `400` — BAD REQUEST. This is a wrong request in the client side due to invalid body or params.
- `401` — UNAUTHORIZED. The Authorization header is incorrect, not provided or the token expired.
