# PATCH /silo/v1/entries/{id}

`PATCH /silo/v1/entries/{id}`

Update an existing silo entry given its UUID.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required — UUID of the silo entry to update.

## Request body

- SiloUpdateEntry
  - `allow_invalid` boolean — When true, the updated envelope's contents are allowed to be invalid.
  - `content_type` string — The content type of the data being uploaded which by default expects application/json for a complete document, simple merge patch application/merge-patch+json (RFC7396), or a line-by-line patch application/json-patch+json (RFC6902)
  - `data` object, nullable — Updated envelope data either a complete envelope or document, or patched data according to the content type.
  - `folder` string — New location for the silo entry.
  - `sign` boolean — When true, the GOBL envelope will be signed automatically.

    - `category` string — Category of the file.
    - `created_at` string — The date and time this file was created.
    - `desc` string — Description of the file.
    - `embeddable` boolean — When true, the file can be embedded inside another file, like a PDF.
    - `entry_id` string — The UUID of the entry this file belongs to.
    - `hash` string — SHA256 hash of the file.
    - `id` string — The UUID that identifies the file in the entry.
    - `key` string — Key used to identify the file by the service or app that generated it.
    - `meta` object — Any additional meta data about the file.
    - `mime` string — MIME type of the file.
    - `name` string — Name of the file.
    - `previous` SiloFileVersion[] — Set of previous versions of the file.
      - `created_at` string — The date and time this file was created.
      - `hash` string — The SHA256 of the file's contents.
      - `id` string — The UUID that identifies the file when it was originally uploaded.
      - `size` integer — Size of the file.
    - `private` boolean — When true, the file will not have a public link.
    - `size` integer — Size of the file in bytes.
    - `stored` boolean — When true, indicates that the file's contents have been uploaded successfully.
    - `url` string — URL where the file's contents can be downloaded.
  - `context` string — When entry provided within a related query, this is the context within the document.
  - `created_at` string — The date and time the silo entry was created.
  - `data` object — JSON envelope contents when specifically requested.

  - `doc_schema` string — Schema URL for the envelope's payload.
  - `draft` boolean — Deprecated. When true, indicates that the envelope is not signed.
  - `env_schema` string — Schema URL for the envelope.
  - `faults` SiloFault[] — List of faults that occurred during the processing of the job associated with the last state.
    - `code` string — Code assigned by the provider that may provide additional information about the fault.
    - `message` string — Message assigned by the provider that may provide additional information about the fault.
    - `paths` string[] — JSON Paths to the properties affected by the fault.
    - `provider` string — ID of the provider that generated the fault.
  - `folder` string — Key for the folder where the entry is located.
  - `id` string — UUID of the silo entry.
  - `invalid` boolean — When true, the envelope's contents are invalid and need to be reviewed.
  - `key` string — Key used to identify the entry idempotently within a workspace.
  - `meta` SiloMeta[] — Additional meta fields associated with the entry.
    - `created_at` string — Timestamp of when the row was created.
    - `entry_id` string — ID of the entry this meta row belongs to
    - `id` string — Compound ID of the meta row.
    - `indexed` boolean — When true, the meta entry is indexed for search.
    - `key` string — Key used to identify the meta entry by the source.
    - `link_scope` string — Describes the context in which the link should be made available.
    - `link_url` string — URL associated with the meta row that may be used to perform additional actions or view more details.
    - `owned` boolean — When true, the meta entry is indexed by owner ID.
    - `owner_id` string — UUID of the owner of the silo entry, typically a workspace ID. Included for reference when the authentication token does not already include the owner such as for lookups by reference.
    - `ref` string — Indexable value used to locate the meta entry if a silo entry ID is not available.
    - `secure` boolean — When true, the meta entry is never included in lists and needs to be specifically requested.
    - `shared` boolean — When true, the meta entry may be shared with other applications.
    - `src` string — The service or source that created this meta entry.
    - `updated_at` string — Timestamp of when the row was last updated.
    - `value` object — The JSON data stored with the meta row.
  - `signed` boolean — When true, the envelope has been signed and should not be modified.
  - `snippet` object — JSON object containing a snippet of the document.
  - `state` string — Current state of the silo entry if not a draft.
  - `tags` string[] — Copy of tags stored in the envelope header.
  - `updated_at` string — The date and time the silo entry was last updated.
