# Create lead label

`POST /api/v2/lead-labels`

Requires one of the following scopes: `lead-labels:create`, `lead-labels:all`, `all:create`, `all:all`

## Request body

- object — The Lead Label to create
  - `label` string, required — Display label for the custom lead label
  - `interest_status_label` 'positive' | 'negative' | 'neutral', required — Interest status label associated with this label
  - `description` string, nullable — Detailed description of the custom lead label purpose
  - `use_with_ai` boolean, nullable — Whether this label should be used with AI features

## Response `200`

The Lead Label

- LeadLabel — A custom label for categorizing and managing leads
  - `id` string, uuid, required — Unique identifier for the custom lead label
  - `timestamp_created` string, date-time, required — Timestamp when the custom lead label was created
  - `created_by` string, uuid, required — User ID of the creator of this label
  - `organization_id` string, uuid, required — Organization ID that owns this custom lead label
  - `label` string, required — Display label for the custom lead label
  - `interest_status_label` 'positive' | 'negative' | 'neutral', required — Interest status label associated with this label
  - `interest_status` number, required — Interest status associated with this label. This is generated automatically by us.
  - `description` string, nullable — Detailed description of the custom lead label purpose
  - `use_with_ai` boolean, nullable — Whether this label should be used with AI features

## Other responses

- `400` — Invalid request body (e.g. missing required fields, or invalid field values)
- `401` — This request is unauthorized (either the Authorization header is missing or invalid, or the API key has been revoked)
- `402` — This request cannot be fulfilled because the workspace does not have an active paid plan
- `404` — The requested resource was not found
- `429` — You have exceeded the rate limit. Please check the rate limit docs for more information.
