# Get the immediate parent list for an Entity.  The parents are the nodes connected one level "upstream" from the current node.  This list only goes to the next higher level in the graph.

`GET /parents/{id}`

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Response `200`

An array of parent entities is returned

- object[]

## Other responses

- `400` — Invalid or misformatted entity identifier
- `401` — The user's token has expired or the user did not supply a valid token
- `403` — The user is not authorized to access the entity.
- `404` — The target entity could not be found
- `500` — Internal error
