# Delete the cached data from Memcached for a given entity, HuBMAP-Read access is required in AWS API Gateway

`DELETE /entities/{id}/flush-cache`

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Response `200`

A confirmation message upon successful operation

## Other responses

- `400` — Invalid or misformatted entity identifier
- `401` — The user's token has expired or the user did not supply a valid token
- `403` — The user is not authorized to query the provenance of the given entity.
- `404` — The target entity could not be found
- `500` — Internal error
