# Stop a specific workflow run

`PATCH /workflow/{id}/runs/{rid}/stop`

## Path parameters

- `rid` string, uuid, required

## Response `200`

The workflow run was stopped

- StopWorkflowResponse
  - `workflowId` string
  - `runId` string

## Other responses

- `400` — Invalid request body, query, or pagination token
- `404` — Workflow execution, workflow type, or catalog not found
- `409` — Workflow run is in a state that conflicts with the requested operation (e.g. operating on an already-terminal run, or resetting to an incomplete step).
- `500` — Internal server error (e.g. Temporal connection failure)
