# Restore a dashboard to a given dashboard version using UID.

`POST /dashboards/uid/{uid}/restore`

> **Deprecated.**

This API will be removed when /apis/dashboard.grafana.app/v1 is released.
You can restore a dashboard by reading it from history, then creating it again.

## Request body

- RestoreDashboardVersionCommand
  - `version` integer

## Response `200`

  - `folderUid` string — FolderUID The unique identifier (uid) of the folder the dashboard belongs to.
  - `id` integer, required — ID The unique identifier (id) of the created/updated dashboard.
  - `status` string, required — Status status of the response.
  - `title` string, required — Slug The slug of the dashboard.
  - `uid` string, required — UID The unique identifier (uid) of the created/updated dashboard.
  - `url` string, required — URL The relative URL for accessing the created/updated dashboard.
  - `version` integer, required — Version The version of the dashboard.

## Other responses

- `400` — BadRequestError is returned when the request is invalid and it cannot be processed.
- `401` — UnauthorizedError is returned when the request is not authenticated.
- `403` — ForbiddenError is returned if the user/token has insufficient permissions to access the requested resource.
- `404` — NotFoundError is returned when the requested resource was not found.
- `500` — InternalServerError is a general error indicating something went wrong internally.
