The zone scoping this request. It should conform to RFC1035.

Query parameters

requestIdstring

An optional request ID to identify requests. Specify a unique request ID so that if you must retry your request, the server will know to ignore the request if it has already been completed.

For example, consider a situation where you make an initial request and the request times out. If you make the request again with the same request ID, the server can check if original operation with the same request ID was received, and if so, will ignore the second request. This prevents clients from accidentally creating duplicate commitments.

The request ID must be a valid UUID with the exception that zero UUID is not supported (00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000).

updateMaskstring

update_mask indicates fields to be updated as part of this request.

Request body

zonestring

Output only. [Output Only] URL of the zone where the resource resides You must specify this field as part of the HTTP request URL. It is not settable as a field in the request body.

kindstring

Output only. [Output Only] Type of the resource. Alwayscompute#instance_settings for instance settings.

fingerprintstring byte

Specifies a fingerprint for instance settings, which is essentially a hash of the instance settings resource's contents and used for optimistic locking. The fingerprint is initially generated by Compute Engine and changes after every request to modify or update the instance settings resource. You must always provide an up-to-date fingerprint hash in order to update or change the resource, otherwise the request will fail with error 412 conditionNotMet.

To see the latest fingerprint, make a get() request to retrieve the resource.
