# Find the current user

`GET /user-profile/v1/users/currentuser`

Returns the current user<br />User roles: admin, manager, editor, viewer, authenticatedVisitor, anonymous

## Response `200`

Returns the current user

- object — The user object that might be returned.
  - `id` string, required — The unique internal identifier of the user
  - `externalId` string, required — The unique external identifier of the user (e.g. BlueID). Although, this field can store email addresses, other types of unique identifiers may be stored too. Do not use this field as a replacement for the user attribute email address.
  - `firstName` string — The first name of the user
  - `lastName` string — The last name of the user
  - `uid` string — Acoustic Id of the user, if not present during POST call an Acoustic Id will be created for the user
  - `displayName` string — The name of the user that can be displayed in the UI
  - `email` string, email — The email of the user that can be displayed in the UI
  - `roles` string[], required — The roles of the user that will be used for access control (empty for the anonymous user)
  - `links` object
    - `self` object, required — URI pointing to this document
      - `href` string, required
      - `methods` string[], required
      - `name` object — Single value object where key is the locale and value is the display name
  - `lastLogin` string, date-time — Date when this user logged in for the last time before current session
  - `created` string, date-time — Date when this item was created
  - `creator` object — URI pointing to the User who has created the item
    - `id` string, required
  - `lastModified` string, date-time — Date when this item was modified for the last time
  - `lastModifier` object — URI pointing to the User who has modified the item
    - `id` string, required
  - `privacyNotice` object — The privacy notice that the user has accepted
    - `version` string — The version of the privacy notice.
    - `accepted` string, date-time — The date when the user accepted this version of the privacy notice.
    - `locale` string — The language in which the accepted privacy notice is written.
    - `acceptRequired` boolean, required — Defines if an acceptance of the latest privacy notice is required.

## Other responses

- `400` — Response indicating a client error
- `429` — Too Many Requests, the server has reached a limit, the request must be sent again at a later time.
