# Read document permissions

`POST /rest/api/v1/getdocpermissions`

Read the emails of all users who have access to the given document.

## Query parameters

- `locale` string

## Request body

- GetDocPermissionsRequest
  - `documentId` string — The Glean Document ID to retrieve permissions for.

## Response `200`

OK

- GetDocPermissionsResponse
  - `allowedUserEmails` string[] — A list of emails of users who have access to the document. If the document is visible to all Glean users, a list with only a single value of 'VISIBLE_TO_ALL'.

## Other responses

- `400` — Invalid request
- `401` — Not Authorized
- `403` — Forbidden
- `429` — Too Many Requests
