# Update a favorite (v2)

`PATCH /v2/favorites/{favoriteId}`

Partial update of a favorite. Only `ranking` is mutable — the polymorphic target (group / view / contact) is fixed once the row is created. **Requires `Idempotency-Key`.** Returns `{ data: { favorite: {...} } }`.
