# Detach custom domain

`DELETE /hosting/custom-domains/{uuid}`

Detach a custom domain from an app or worker

## Path parameters

- `uuid` string, uuid, required — Custom domain identifier to detach.

## Response `200`

Successful response

- object
  - `outcome` 'detached' | 'deactivating', required — `detached` once teardown completed; `deactivating` when CloudFront is still propagating and the customer should retry.

## Other responses

- `400` — Bad request
- `401` — Unauthorized
- `404` — Not found
- `500` — Internal server error
