# Modify Location Fee

`POST /modifyLocationFee`

Use the Modify Location Fee endpoint to modify a fee that was created with the <a href="ref:post_createlocationfee" target="_blank">Create Location Fee</a> endpoint. You cannot change `feeType` (`FBD` or `DEL`) with this endpoint. Instead, you must create a new fee with Create Location Fee and use this endpoint to deactivate the old fee.

For this endpoint, `amount` and `amountType` are not required, but if one of them is populated, then both are required.

    - `transaction_id` string, nullable, required — An ID that represents an API transaction
    - `provider_timestamp` string, date-time, nullable, required — Store a related timestamp for reporting and troubleshooting purposes
    - `provider_transaction_id` string, nullable, required — Secondary transaction identifier (generated by a provider)
  - `system_timestamp` string, date-time, nullable, required — A system generated timestamp
  - `rtoken` string, nullable, required — A system-generated ID used for tracking
  - `errors` string[] — A list of errors generated while the request was processed
  - `response_data` object, nullable, required — A structure for the response data. It can be empty but usually will contain information.
    - `location` integer, required — SoFi Tech Solutions ID of the location, when `locationType` is `0` or `2`.
    - `provider_specified_id` string, nullable, required — Customer ID of the location, when `locationType` is `1`.
    - `fee_type` string, nullable, required — Type of fee, `FBD` (FBE direct deposit fee) or `DEL` (ACH direct deposit fee).
    - `amount` string, required — Amount of the fee.
    - `amount_type` string, required — The type of the amount: `flat` or `percent`.
    - `min_fee` string, nullable, required — The minimum amount to charge, when `amount_type` is `percent`.
    - `max_fee` string, nullable, required — The maximum amount to charge, when `amount_type` is `percent`.
    - `active` string, nullable, required — Active flag for the fee.
