# Update the status of a payment request

`PUT /v2/paymentrequests/{paymentRequestCode}/status`

This endpoint will update the status of a payment request. The payment request should be active or removed. You will need to enable PERM_BUSINESS_PUT_PAYMENT_REQUEST_STATUS to use this endpoint.

## Path parameters

- `paymentRequestCode` string, required — The code of the payment request to update

## Request body

- Status
  - `status` string — The status to update the payment request to

## Response `204`

204 no content

## Other responses

- `400` — An error has occured. Any 403 errors usually mean your access token is invalid or missing. For other errors, check the validity of your input, and if you are permitted to access this endpoint.
