# Cancel a direct debit mandate

`POST /v1/mandates/{mandateUuid}/cancel`

This endpoint allows you to cancel a direct debit mandate. You will need to enable PERM_BUSINESS_POST_MANDATE_CANCEL to use this endpoint.

## Path parameters

- `mandateUuid` string, required — The uuid of the mandate to cancel.

## Response `204`

204 no content

## Other responses

- `400` — An error has occured. Any 403 errors usually mean your access token is invalid or missing. For other errors, check the validity of your input, and if you are permitted to access this endpoint.
