# Reject a direct debit

`POST /v1/directdebits/{directDebitUuid}/reject`

This endpoint allows you to reject a direct debit payment where the status is still set to RECEIVED. You will need to enable PERM_BUSINESS_POST_DIRECT_DEBIT_REJECT to use this endpoint.

## Path parameters

- `directDebitUuid` string, required — The uuid of the direct debit to retrieve.

## Response `204`

204 no content

## Other responses

- `400` — An error has occured. Any 403 errors usually mean your access token is invalid or missing. For other errors, check the validity of your input, and if you are permitted to access this endpoint.
