# Refresh a Token

`POST /v1/oauth/refresh-token`

Generate a new token pair based on a refresh token.

## Request body

- object
  - `refresh_token` string, required — The refresh_token received from the [Issue a token](https://developer.fin.com/api-reference/authentication/issue-a-token) endpoint.

## Response `200`

Token issued successfully

- TokenResponse
  - `access_token` string
  - `access_token_ttl` string, date-time
  - `refresh_token` string
  - `refresh_token_ttl` string, date-time
  - `current_time` string, date-time

## Other responses

- `401` — Authentication failed due to invalid credentials
- `422` — Failed due to a formatting error.
