# Read Tree

`GET /trees/{tid}`

Read a user tree specified by the tree id in the path.

## Path parameters

- `tid` string, required

## Headers

- `Accept` 'application/x-fs-v1+json' | 'application/json', required

## Response `200`

The read was successful. See <a href="https://developers.familysearch.org/main/docs/json-schema#tree" target="_blank">Tree Schema (JSON)</a>

## Other responses

- `404` — The requested user tree does not exist.
- `410` — The requested user tree has been deleted.
- `429` — The request was throttled.
