# Read Place Descriptions Group

`GET /places/groups/{pgid}`

Read a place descriptions group. A place descriptions group is an arbitrary grouping of place descriptions or other groups. Partners can use this resource to group place descriptions that are related, such as countries in North America. It doesn't impact the jurisdiction of the contained places. You can group place descriptions into one named resource without changing the jurisdiction of those contained places.
