# Update Application parameters

`PATCH /applications/{tenantName}/{appName}`

Update an existing, deployed FAST Application with the supplied parameters. Existing parameter values from the deployed Application will be used as defaults for any missing parameter values.

## Request body

- object
  - `parameters` ParametersDefinition, required — Object must conform to specified template's schema.

## Response `202`

Template Job Submitted Successfully, check the provided Task ID to get the status of the deployment.

- FastApplicationResponse — The response message when performing Application operations.
  - `_links` LinksDefinition — An object containing link references.
    - `self` string — Self-link to endpoint
    - `task` string — Self-link to task endpoint
  - `code` integer, required
  - `requestId` integer
  - `message` object[], required
    - `id` string — The Task ID which can be used to query Task state.
    - `name` string — The name of the Template used.
    - `parameters` object — The parameters used to create/update the Application.

## Other responses

- `400` — AS3 errors (e.g., invalid schema) are forwarded as 400-level errors. See AS3 documentation for details.
- `500` — Internal error. A bug report should be filed.
