# Update a user

`PUT /v2/users/{userId}`

Updates the staff user account. Only fields present in the request body are changed. Returns the updated user.

## Path parameters

- `userId` string, required

## Request body

- UserUpdateRequest — Body of a `PUT /v2/users/{userId}` request.
  - `email` string
  - `first_name` string, nullable
  - `last_name` string, nullable
  - `password` string
  - `scopes` string[]
