# Unlike a post

`DELETE /api/v1/posts/{postId}/likes`

**Rate limit:** 60 requests per 60 seconds. This is the **default shared quota** — it is shared with every other endpoint that has no dedicated limit, so requests across those endpoints all draw from the same budget.

Removes the authenticated user's Like from the specified post. emotionType defaults to Like (the only supported emotion type). The call is idempotent — unliking an entity with no active like succeeds silently.

## Other responses

- `401` — Authentication required
- `403` — Requester is blocked by the entity owner or unable to interact
- `404` — Entity not found
- `429` — Too Many Requests — the shared rate limit (60 requests / 60s) was exceeded.
