# Start Speaker Separation

`POST /v1/voices/pvc/{voice_id}/samples/{sample_id}/separate-speakers`

Start speaker separation process for a sample

## Path parameters

- `voice_id` string, required — Voice ID to be used, you can use https://api.elevenlabs.io/v1/voices to list all the available voices.
- `sample_id` string, required — Sample ID to be used

## Headers

- `xi-api-key` string, nullable — Your API key. This is required by most endpoints to access our API programmatically. You can view your xi-api-key using the 'Profile' tab on the website.

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- StartSpeakerSeparationResponseModel
  - `status` string, required — The status of the start speaker seperation request. If the request was successful, the status will be 'ok'. Otherwise an error message with status 500 will be returned.
