# Update the quarantine range - v1

`PUT /ransomwarerecovery/v1/quarantineranges/resource/{resourceID}/range/{rangeID}`

Use this API to update the quarantine range for an infected resource.
:fa-info-circle: Both v1 and v2 Quarantine APIs are supported for Endpoints, File Server, NAS, VMware, OneDrive, and SharePoint.

## Path parameters

- `resourceID` integer, required
- `rangeID` integer, required

## Request body

- QuarantineRangeUpdateRequest
  - `fromDate` string, date — Specify a date from which you want to quarantine all the snapshots. Format - YYYY-MM-DD Example - 2020-10-25. :fa-info-circle: If you do not specify a date Druva will quarantine all the snapshots after November 10, 2019 (a system-defined limit). Druva uses UTC time zone to quarantine a resource. You must factor in the difference between the resource time zone and UTC zone while selecting the dates.
  - `toDate` string, date — Specify the date until which you want to quarantine the snapshots on the resource. Format - YYYY-MM-DD. Example - 2020-04-01 :fa-info-circle: If you do not specify a date Druva will keep quarantining all the snapshots formed on the resource indefinitely.

## Response `200`

OK

- QuarantineRangeCreateResponse
  - `rangeID` integer — The unique identifier of the quarantine range which is created or updated for the resource.

## Other responses

- `400` — Bad Request
- `401` — The request either did not include an authentication token, or you have provided an expired authentication token.
- `404` — The requested resource was not found.
- `500` — Internal Server Error
