# Update Database Clusters' Metrics Endpoint Credentials

`PUT /v2/databases/metrics/credentials`

To update the credentials for all database clusters' metrics endpoints, send a PUT request to `/v2/databases/metrics/credentials`. A successful request will receive a 204 No Content status code  with no body in response.

## Request body

- DatabaseMetricsCredentials
  - `credentials` DatabasesBasicAuthCredentials
    - `basic_auth_username` string — basic authentication username for metrics HTTP endpoint
    - `basic_auth_password` string — basic authentication password for metrics HTTP endpoint

## Response `204`

The action was successful and the response body is empty.

## Other responses

- `401` — Authentication failed due to invalid credentials.
- `429` — The API rate limit has been exceeded.
- `500` — There was a server error.
- `default` — There was an unexpected error.
