# Configure Autoscale Settings for a Database Cluster

`PUT /v2/databases/{database_cluster_uuid}/autoscale`

To configure autoscale settings for an existing database cluster, send a PUT request to `/v2/databases/$DATABASE_ID/autoscale`, specifying the autoscale configuration.
A successful request will receive a 204 No Content status code with no body in response.

## Path parameters

- `database_cluster_uuid` string, uuid, required

## Request body

- DatabaseAutoscaleParams — Contains all autoscaling configuration for a database cluster
  - `storage` object — Storage autoscaling configuration
    - `enabled` boolean, required — Whether storage autoscaling is enabled for the cluster
    - `threshold_percent` integer — The storage usage threshold percentage that triggers autoscaling. When storage usage exceeds this percentage, additional storage will be added automatically.
    - `increment_gib` integer — The amount of additional storage to add (in GiB) when autoscaling is triggered

## Response `204`

The action was successful and the response body is empty.

## Other responses

- `401` — Authentication failed due to invalid credentials.
- `404` — The resource was not found.
- `422` — Unprocessable Entity
- `429` — The API rate limit has been exceeded.
- `500` — There was a server error.
- `default` — There was an unexpected error.
