`POST /api/v2/cases/{case_id}/comment`

## Path parameters

- `case_id` string, required

## Request body

- CaseCommentRequest — Case comment request
  - `data` CaseComment, required — Case comment
    - `attributes` CaseCommentAttributes, required — Case comment attributes
      - `comment` string, required — The `CaseCommentAttributes` `message`.
    - `type` 'case', required — JSON:API resource type for cases.

## Response `200`

OK

- TimelineResponse — Response containing the chronological list of timeline cells for a case.
  - `data` TimelineCellResource[] — The `TimelineResponse` `data`.
    - `attributes` TimelineCell, required — Attributes of a timeline cell, representing a single event in a case's chronological activity log (for example, a comment, status change, or assignment update).
      - `author` TimelineCellAuthor — A user who authored a timeline cell.
        - `content` TimelineCellAuthorUserContent — Profile information for the user who authored the timeline cell.
          - `email` string — The email address of the user.
          - `handle` string — The Datadog handle of the user.
          - `id` string — The UUID of the user.
          - `name` string — The display name of the user.
        - `type` 'USER' — The type of timeline cell author. Currently only `USER` is supported.
      - `cell_content` TimelineCellContent — The content of a comment timeline cell.
        - `message` string — The text content of the comment. Supports Markdown formatting.
      - `created_at` string, date-time — Timestamp of when the cell was created
      - `deleted_at` string, date-time — Timestamp of when the cell was deleted
      - `modified_at` string, date-time — Timestamp of when the cell was last modified
      - `type` 'COMMENT' — The type of content in the timeline cell. Currently only `COMMENT` is supported in this endpoint.
    - `id` string, required — Timeline cell's identifier
    - `type` 'timeline_cell', required — JSON:API resource type for timeline cells.

## Other responses

- `400` — Bad Request
- `401` — Unauthorized
- `403` — Forbidden
- `404` — Not Found
- `429` — Too many requests
