apt auth.conf

Return the netrc-style credentials line for /etc/apt/auth.conf.d/machine packagecloud.io/<user>/<repo>/ login <read-token> password <ignored> — which lets modern apt (>= 1.1) keep the token out of the .list file (paired with the token-less, signed-by= form of config_file.list).

get/install/repositories/{user_id}/{repo}/apt_auth_conf

Path parameters

user_idstring required

The username the repository belongs to.

repostring required

The name of the repository.

Query parameters

diststring required

The OS version as detected — a Debian/Ubuntu codename (jammy), an Enterprise-Linux major (9), or, for Alpine, v<major>.<minor> (e.g. v3.18 — note the leading v). See the supported OS list at https://packagecloud.io/docs#os_distro_version.

namestring required

A unique identifier for the consuming system; a read token created/reused under this name is embedded in the output.

osstring required

The consuming system's OS, as the setup scripts detect it — e.g. ubuntu, debian, el (the scripts also pass almalinux, centos, etc.), alpine, opensuse. packagecloud maps it to a supported distribution and is lenient about case and family aliases.

Response

An apt auth.conf.d credentials line.
