# Get status of a single asynchronous operation.

`GET /projects/{project_id}/networking/load-balancers/operations/{operation_id}`

This resource retrieves information about the status of an asynchronous operation
for an external load balancer. Only information about the operation specified in
the path will be returned.

## Path parameters

- `project_id` string, required
- `operation_id` string, required

## Response `200`

- Operation — Individual resources that use Operations should populate the `metadata` field with resource-specific information.
  - `completed_at` string, required
  - `metadata` string, required
  - `operation_id` string, required
  - `result` string
  - `started_at` string, required
  - `state` 'IN_PROGRESS' | 'SUCCEEDED' | 'FAILED', required
