# Update PHP version's php.ini file

`POST /php_ini_set_content`

This function changes the contents of a PHP version's php.ini file.

**Notes:**

 - This document **only** applies to systems that run EasyApache 4.
 - Due to the limited field length of HTTP GET method calls, we **strongly** recommend that you use the HTTP POST method.

**Important:**
  When you disable the [Web Server role](https://go.cpanel.net/serverroles), the system **disables** this function.

## Query parameters

- `content` string, required
- `version` string, required

## Response `200`

HTTP Request was successful.

- object
  - `data` object
  - `metadata` object
    - `command` string — The method name called.
    - `reason` string — The reason the API function failed when the `metadata.result` field is 0. This field may display a success message when a function succeeds.
    - `result` 0 | 1 — * `1` - Success * `0` - Failed: Check the reason field for more details.
    - `version` integer — The version of the API function.
