# Return domain's mail exchanger records

`GET /listmxs`

This function lists a domain's MX records.

**Important:**

When you disable the [DNS role](https://go.cpanel.net/howtouseserverprofiles#roles), the system **disables** this function.

## Query parameters

- `domain` string, domain, required

## Response `200`

HTTP Request was successful.

- object
  - `data` object
    - `record` object[] — An array of zone record data objects.
      - `Line` integer — The zone record's line number.
      - `class` string — The record's class.
      - `exchange` string, domain — The domain's mail exchanger.
      - `name` string — The record's name.
      - `preference` integer — The MX record's priority order. **Note:** Lower values indicate a higher priority order.
      - `ttl` integer — The record's Time To Live (TTL) in seconds.
      - `type` string — The DNS record's type.
  - `metadata` object
    - `command` string — The method name called.
    - `reason` string — The reason the API function failed when the `metadata.result` field is `0`. This field may display a success message when a function succeeds.
    - `result` 0 | 1 — * `1` — Success. * `0` — Failed. Check the `reason` field for more details.
    - `version` integer — The version of the API function.
