# Disable ModSecurity for selected domains

`GET /ModSecurity/disable_domains`

This function disables ModSecurity™ on specified domains.

**Important:**

When you disable the [WebServer role](https://go.cpanel.net/serverroles#roles), the system **disables** this function.

## Query parameters

- `domains` string, required

## Response `200`

HTTP Request was successful.

- object
  - `apiversion` integer — The version of the API.
  - `func` string — The name of the method called.
  - `module` string — The name of the module called.
  - `result` object
    - `data` union
      - object[]
        - `dependencies` string[] — An array of domains that your changes to a selected domain affect.
        - `domain` string, domain — The cPanel account's domain.
        - `enabled` 0 | 1 — Whether ModSecurity is enabled on the domain. * `1` - Enabled. * `0` - Disabled.
        - `exception` string — An exception error message. The function only returns this value if an error occurs.
        - `searchhint` string — A comma-separated list of domain-related search terms.
        - `type` 'main' | 'sub' — The domain type. * `main` - A main domain. * `sub` - A subdomain.

        - `no_domains_provided` 1 — Indicates caller error on API call.
      - object
        - `invalid_domains` string[] — List of invalid domains provided by caller.
        - `invalid_domains_provided` 1 — Indicates caller error on API call.
    - `errors` string[], nullable — List of errors if the API failed.
    - `messages` string[], nullable — List of messages generated by the API.
    - `metadata` object
      - `transformed` 1 — Post-processing may have transformed the data.
    - `status` 0 | 1 — - 1 - Success - 0 - Failed: Check the errors field for more details.
    - `warnings` string[], nullable — List of warnings generated by the API. Warnings describe non-critical failures or other problematic conditions noted while running a API.
