# Update current theme

`GET /Themes/update`

This function applies a new theme to the cPanel interface.

**Note:**

  The `/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/modify_accounts` script allows you to modify the theme for many or all accounts on the server. For more information, read our [The modify_accounts Script](https://go.cpanel.net/modifyaccounts) documentation.

## Query parameters

- `theme` string, required

## Response `200`

HTTP Request was successful.

- object
  - `apiversion` integer — The version of the API.
  - `func` string — The name of the method called.
  - `module` string — The name of the module called.
  - `result` object
    - `data` object, nullable
    - `errors` string[], nullable — List of errors if the API failed.
    - `messages` string[], nullable — List of messages generated by the API.
    - `metadata` object
    - `status` 0 | 1 — Whether the theme changed. * `1` — The theme changed. * `0` — The theme did **not** change, or the function failed. **Note:** If the function fails, check the `errors` field for more details.
    - `warnings` string[], nullable — List of warnings generated by the API. Warnings describe non-critical failures or other problematic conditions noted while running a API.
