# Return cPanel account's mailbox autocreate status

`GET /Email/get_mailbox_autocreate`

This function checks whether a cPanel account will automatically create mailboxes when it receives an email address in [plus address format](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Email_address#Sub-addressing).

**Note:**

To enable or disable this functionality, use the UAPI's `Email::enable_mailbox_autocreate` and `Email::disable_mailbox_autocreate` functions.

## Query parameters

- `email` string, email, required

## Response `200`

HTTP Request was successful.

  - `apiversion` integer — The version of the API.
  - `func` string — The name of the method called.
  - `module` string — The name of the module called.
  - `result` object
    - `data` 0 | 1 — Whether the cPanel account can automatically create mailboxes. * `1` — The cPanel account can automatically create mailboxes. * `0` — The cPanel account **cannot** automatically create mailboxes.
    - `errors` string[], nullable — List of errors if the API failed.
    - `messages` string[], nullable — List of messages generated by the API.
    - `metadata` object
    - `status` 0 | 1 — - 1 - Success - 0 - Failed: Check the errors field for more details.
    - `warnings` string[], nullable — List of warnings generated by the API. Warnings describe non-critical failures or other problematic conditions noted while running a API.
