# Start IMAP Full-Text Search scan for email account

`GET /Email/fts_rescan_mailbox`

This function requests that the IMAP Full-Text Search Indexing (powered by Apache Solr™) plugin rescan an email account.

**Note:**

To enable this function, you **must** install the *IMAP Full-Text Search Indexing (powered by Apache Solr™)* plugin in WHM's [*Manage Plugins*](https://go.cpanel.net/whmdocsManagePlugins) interface (*WHM >> Home >> cPanel >> Manage Plugins*). For more information, read our [install_dovecot_fts script](https://go.cpanel.net/installdovecotftsscript) documentation.

**Important:**

When you disable the [Receive Mail role](https://go.cpanel.net/serverroles), the system disables this function.

## Query parameters

- `account` string, email, required

## Response `200`

HTTP Request was successful.

- object
  - `apiversion` integer — The version of the API.
  - `func` string — The name of the method called.
  - `module` string — The name of the module called.
  - `result` object
    - `data` 0 | 1 — Whether the system started the rescan. * `1` - Success. * `0` - Failure.
    - `errors` string[], nullable — List of errors if the API failed.
    - `messages` string[], nullable — List of messages generated by the API.
    - `metadata` object
    - `status` 0 | 1 — * `1` - Success. * `0` - Failed. Check the `errors` field for more details.
    - `warnings` string[], nullable — List of warnings generated by the API. Warnings describe non-critical failures or other problematic conditions noted while running a API.
