# Update a customer

`PATCH /projects/{projectId}/customers/{customerId}`

Update specific fields of a customer. Only provided fields will be updated.

## Path parameters

- `projectId` string, required
- `customerId` string, required

## Request body

  - `displayName` string — Human-readable display name for the customer
  - `customerId` string — Unique identifier for the customer
  - `isNfr` boolean — Flag indicating if this is a Not-For-Resale (NFR) customer account

Customer updated successfully

  - `displayName` string, required — Human-readable display name for the customer
  - `tenantName` string, required — The tenant identifier used for multi-tenancy and resource isolation.
  - `region` 'eu' | 'us', required — Region for the customer's resources
  - `customerId` string, required — Unique identifier for the customer
  - `isNfr` boolean — Flag indicating if this is a Not-For-Resale (NFR) customer account
  - `createdAt` string, date-time — Timestamp when the customer was created

## Other responses

- `400` — Bad Request
- `401` — Authentication failed
- `403` — Forbidden
- `404` — Not Found
- `409` — The resource has dependents (e.g. children that inherit from it) and cannot be deleted.
- `500` — Internal server error
- `503` — External service unavailable
